19JUL2023 - Amendment 0003 incorporates  Q&As Q56 through Q62 and A56 through A62.  The Bid Opening will be held via a Microsoft Teams meeting on 28 July 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.  Specific information on this Teams meeting will be provided herein by 25 July 2023.

11JUL2023 - Amendment 0002 incorporates Q&As Q5 through Q55 and A5 through A55.  A second Site Visit will be held in response to a request via Question No. Q41.  The Site Visit will be on 21 July 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time.

30JUN2023 - Amendment 0001 extends bid due date to 28 July 2023 & incorporates Q&As Q1 through Q4 and A1 through A4.

26JUN2023 - Q&As

Q3:  We have to connect to the existing systems, and the drawings and specifications do not name the existing fire alarm system manufacturer and existing security system manufacturer.  Can the Government provide the name of the existing fire alarm system manufacturer and also the existing security system manufacturer?

A3:  Existing Fire Alarm manufacturer is Edwards, but with the New Fire Alarm system, Siemens will replace Edwards; this is in construction currently.  The Security system manufacturer is Lenel.

Q2:  Are there any specified manufacturers of the data center hardware, or are you looking for recommendations from qualified contractors?

A2:  There are no proprietary products specified for the data center hardware. Examples of the products that meet the performance specifications include:

Server Cabinets – CPI Zetaframe (Server rows)

Network cabinets – Great Lakes ES series with sidecars or equivalent (MDA/HDA locations)

19JUN2023 - The following Bidder's Question and the Government's Response to the question is provided:    

Q1:  For Bonding purposes, does this job have Liquidated Damages? If yes, in what amount? I could not find it in the solicitation document.

A1:  Liquidated Damages (LDs) are not applicable to this procurement and its resultant contract.

Be advised that all bidders' written questions and the Government's written response to the questions, are incorporated into this solicitation via an amendment.

Date:  10 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on 21 June 2023

Location:  Meet at the Main Building of the Birmingham VAMC, Bldg # 3915, Engineering Conference Room.  

Parking:  There may not be available parking spaces near Bldg 3915, so you may have to park at a parking lot farther away and then take the shuttle bus to this building.

(1) Name of company who will be attending

(2) # of attendees

(3) Whether attendee is representing a proposed Prime Contractor, Subcontractor or Supplier

Project Requirement:  The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, supervision, quality control, project management and services necessary to complete Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Birmingham, Alabama.
