The procurement is for product maintenance of nine Zeiss HFA3 860 Visual Field Analyzers. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811210. The Zeiss HFA3 860 are used in direct patient care. This equipment requires specialized instruments and training to maintain, and contains proprietary parts and software only available through the original manufacturer, Carl Zeiss Meditec. The product maintenance for these units is available only through the OEM authorized distributor, PROAIM Americas LLC. Because there is only one authorized providers for this service, this procurement is limited to one source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies will satisfy the Agency s requirement. The anticipated award date: November 01, 2023. This requirement is for: Department of Veterans Affairs Portland VA Medical Center 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road Portland, OR 97239 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government s intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
