6550 VISN 23 Lab Cepheid Reagents One Year

STATEMENT OF WORK

Solicitation Objectives:

1. VISN 23 has a requirement for Cepheid test cartridges and consumables for up to one year. This testing is performed on the Cepheid GeneXpert Family of Systems. Test cartridges and supplies are proprietary to the equipment. 

1. The Government intends to award a contract for Cepheid testing cartridges and consumable supplies for a period of up to one year.

1. The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service Line in VISN23 desires to acquire Cepheid test cartridges and consumable supplies to perform testing for each of the laboratories located at the following VA facilities:

• Black Hills Health Care System, Hot Springs, SD
• Black Hills Health Care System, Fort Meade, SD
• Black Hills Health Care System, Rapid City, SD
• Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, IA
• VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA
• VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN
• Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha, NE
• Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Lincoln, NE
• Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Grand Island, NE
• VA Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN
• Royal C. Johnson VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD
• VA Medical Center, Fargo, ND

1. General Requirements - The test cartridges and supplies must be compatible with and FDA approved to operate on the Cepheid GeneXpert Family of Systems.  Orders received must be the same lot number per shipment per site for reasonable QC purposes. When used according to manufacturer’s specifications must meet the performance characteristics and quality assessments as defined by the 1988 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act.

1. All quantities expressed are estimated amounts based on current volume data and do not reflect any guaranteed purchase commitment.

VISN 23 reserves the right to add additional test cartridges and consumables as workload requires or they become FDA approved.
