Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a one-time purchase with Imagines Eyes, 18 Rue Charles De Gaulle, Orsay,91400 FRA., for a AO Retinal Camera. This is a High-resolution Adaptive Optics Flood Illumination Fundus Camera with a pre-installed workstation along with the computer and software for the VA Iowa Healthcare System, Research Center. Image Eyes is the OEM for the AO retinal camera. This retinal camera is the only model with the salient characteristics needed to enhance the on-going research studies and will complement the equipment. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 339115 with a 1000 employee size standard. The PSC is 6640. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
