Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Vocational Instructor for the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan located at 1100 Ursuline Avenue, Bryan, Texas. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months and four one-year options for renewal at the discretion of the government. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519 – Other Technical and Trade Schools (Size Standard: $21 million). This solicitation is being issued as unrestricted.
The contractor must be an accredited entity. The organization’s accreditation will be verified using the US Department of Education Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs (DAPIP) website: (https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home). The contractor will normally work Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays), between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The contractor will be required to provide an estimated seven sessions per day, for five days during the week to approximately 15 inmates. An estimated 1,700 sessions will be required annually for HVAC Instructor services. A session is defined as one hour. Hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution.

The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about May 26, 2023; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due.
