Description
The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit – Providence, has a construction requirement to Repair Waterfront Marginal Floating Docks at STA New York.
This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR Parts 14 and 19. This acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Z2PZ.
The estimated cost range of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
The period of performance is 215 days.
Solicitation packages will be available on or about 8 July 2022. The tentative date set for bid opening is 11 August 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Bids must be valid for a minimum of 60 days.

Scope of Work
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and disposal required to replace the existing marginal floating docks C, D and E with new floating docks; remove and reinstall the existing shore ties on the new floating docks; replace the shore tie electrical lines on the new floating docks; and replace multiple steel thru-rods, timer wales, and timber rubstrips throughout the remainder of the marginal floating docks as specified and shown in the contract documents OBI#1: Marginal Floating Docks: Recoat the existing marginal floating dock A, B, C, D, and E guide piles (6 EA) as specified and shown in the Contract Documents. OBI #2: Marginal Floating Docks: Install sacrificial anodes on the existing marginal floating dock A, B, C, D and E guide piles (6 EA) as specified and shown in Contact Documents. OBI#3: Boarding (Refueling) Floating Dock: Replace the plastic rubstrips and gangway roller as specified and shown in the Contract Documents.
