Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award a contract for Getinge 67N131A Steam Sterilizers & Accessories to be installed at Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Department at the Butler VA Health Care System in Butler, PA.  This is a brand name only requirement due to the need to be compatible with the current facility configuration and equipment. This notice of intent to conduct a brand name only procurement satisfies the public posting requirements of FAR 5.  

A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on SAM.gov soon. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. The estimated need date is as soon as possible. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the offer submission process. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award; contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov.

Veterans’ Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are items supplied outside of the original equipment manufacturer’s intended distribution channels. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements which shall be considered by the Government.  All capability statements must be received by no later than 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on March 7, 2024, by the Contracting POC listed below.  The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent.
