Description

The project consists of repairing 5.49 miles of Beasore Road on the Sierra National Forest, California. Work shall include but is not limited to  cleaning and reconditioning the culverts along the road, replacing 600 linear feet of 36” corrugated metal pipe, installing metal end sections, and installing a metal spillway. Work will also include the 6 inches full depth reclamation from mile post 24.14 to 29.63, installing a geogrid Tensar TriAx TX7 or equivalent (Optional item), grading & compacting the pulverized material, importing & placing base rock to correct lower areas, placing rip rap on outlets and ditches, placing a 4” layer of hot mix asphalt and painting two coats of a double yellow center line.

Currently Norris Creek Bridge is closed, contractors shall plan to deliver supplies and materials using Beasore road to complete the work west from Norris Creek bridge and use Minarets Road and for the remain work east from Norris Creek Bridge. There is an alternative detour route but only for high clearance vehicles and pickup trucks.  

The project location is from Oakhurst, CA (93644), travel 3.2 miles North on highway 41, turn right onto Road 222/Bass Lake Road, continue South for approximately 2.4 miles, slight left onto Beasore Road, continue for approximately 33.5 miles until reach the beginning of the project (37.504292, -119.370184).

The magnitude of construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
