Description
Synopsis
This is a Request for Information (RFI) regarding a potential provider for underwater ship husbandry services including but not limited to, hull inspection, hull cleaning, and/or propellor cleaning for the US Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) to mitigate underwater marine growth, improve fuel efficiency, and enable attainment of rated maximum speed without causing strain or damage to propulsion plants. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. MARAD is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responses to this Notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Proprietary information is not being requested, and respondents shall refrain from providing proprietary information in response to this RFI. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
The Government will not provide reimbursement for any information that may or may not be submitted, or for any administrative cost incurred by respondents in response to this RFI. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Furthermore, responding to this RFI will neither increase nor decrease a respondent’s likelihood of being awarded any contract in the future for the requisite goods or services.
This request for information shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government from any acquisition action. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor www.sam.gov for additional information pertaining to this RFI.
