Description
This project will remove and replace the sewage lift pump located on the first floor of Building 12 that was installed around the time the boiler plant was constructed in 1923. The existing pump currently serves buildings 12, 13, 14, 15, and 65. Although the pump remains operational, if it were to fail replacement parts are not available to repair the pump. This project design specifies new duplex sewer pumps that can be serviced along with a basin. This will help to ensure that sewage service to buildings 12, 13, 14, 15, and 65 continues with no interruptions. The new duplex sewer pumps will be connected to emergency power to provide service in the event of a power outage.
