FOR INFORMATION ONLY: This is not a solicitation. This is synopsis is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation will be issued about October 2022.

CONTRACT INFORMATION: This announcement is for a Unrestricted, full and open competition acquisition to provide LaBranch March Creation, Norco, Louisiana.

Place of Performance: LaBranch, Norco, Louisiana

The North American Industrial Classification System code is 237990, which has a size standard of $30 million. A firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated. The contract is anticipated to be awarded in November 2022. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://www.sam.gov/. No state level certifications will be accepted.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The estimated magnitude for this contract is between $25,000,000 and $50,000,000. 

The project’s goal is to restore marsh that has been converted to open water. Project implementation will result in an increase of wildlife and fisheries habitat, acreage and diversity, along with improving water quality. In addition, the project will provide a storm buffer protection to I-10, the region’s primary westward hurricane evacuation route, and complement hurricane protection measures in the area. The project features consist of the creation of 1200 acres of marsh using dedicated dredging from Lake Pontchartrain. In addition, 6,540 linear feet of tidal creeks will be created.

The estimated solicitation issue date for solicitation 12FPC323R0001 is about October 2022. Proposals are anticipated to be due approximately 30 days from issuance of the solicitation.
