Description

Salient Characteristics Must have the following debridement types: Irrigation: a gentle rinsing of the wound with the purpose of removing slough. Can be performed by LPN - Provider Low: A form of instrumental debridement targeted at the removal of slough without disturbing other soft tissues, typically not down to the bleeding layer. Can be performed by WOCN trained RN and provider only. Moderate: Instrumental debridement to remove slough often getting to bleeding layer, may disturb soft tissue; but often left intact. (considered painful) Can only be performed by provider Aggressive: Heavy disruption of the wound through use of debridement. All slough and non-viable tissue are removed, most often includes other soft tissues. (very painful) Can only be performed by provider Must perform near painless debridement, specifically when it comes to the Moderate and Aggressive form(s) Must work with the following irrigating agents NS, VASHE, and DAKINS Ultrasound technology must be usable by LPN and RN without curette attachment and usable for all irrigation types Must be able to remove slough while keeping wound bed moist The following features must be present 35K Hertz, generator Autoclavable handpiece(s) and patient contact components Sharp cutting edge for dissection Confocal sound wave technology Contact and non-contact wound bed treatment Selective debridement Adjustable power generator Quick turnaround between patients Stable Cavitation Field Must meet the following specifications Power source 90-264V AC, 2.5A, 50/60 Hz Converter power output<140W Amplitude-0-75 micrometers Weight not to exceed 15 lbs Handheld not to exceed 1 lb Rolling stand must be included Must come with a warranty for not less than one year
