Description
Renovate Corrosion Control Hangar, Barksdale AFB, Louisiana
Please NOTE this solicitation requires offerors to enter a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) score in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) prior before award.
This announcement is an unrestricted acquisition to renovate Corrosion Control Hangar, B6626 at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.
The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price, Design-Bid-Build contract.
Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00
The North American Industrial Classification System code is 236220, which has a size standard of $39.5 million.
The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 26 July 2022, and proposals due on or about 08 2022.
The contract is anticipated to be awarded in October 2022.
To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Register via the SAM Internet site at https://sam.gov/. No state level certifications will be accepted.
Project Information: The project includes repair of an existing hangar with the vision to support limited repair paint operations and wash rack operations. Construction Range is between $10M and $100M. Contract Work consists of renovation and upgrade of building systems on an active military airfield to meet Air Force standards: repair of existing hangar, replace interior hangar doors, HVAC, electrical/Lighting/Communication/Security Systems, and Plumbing, roofing, interior and exterior finishes etc. to provide an operational corrosion control facility so that corrosion control activities can commence to support the active bomb wing. Building 6626 which is a Corrosion Control Facility (CCF) and must be able to perform all the functions listed in UFC 4-211-02 with the exception of the Dry Media Blast (DMB) De-paint. As part of this project, a mass notification system is to be added. Hazardous material assessment is also included in the project. Mechanical, telecom, and electric systems are included in the design. The project includes sustainability third-party certification.
Anticipated project completion date is 720 days from Notice to proceed.
