Description

Description of Requirement. NRCS – Soil and Plant Science Division is requesting the acquisition of 2 Coastal Zone Soil Survey (CZSS) pontoon vessels / boats for sample and data collection efforts associated with CZSS / subaqueous soil survey projects. Each pontoon vessel must be able to be towed behind a medium duty truck (3/4 ton) and have the capacity to be transported from the state of Maine to Texas. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.


(ii) This solicitation number 12FPC423Q0031 is issued as a request Quote (RFQ), with the intent to issue one Firm Fixed Price Contract. Quotes are requested for two (2) Custom Pontoon Boats in accordance with specifications listed in Attachment A


(iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06 5/26/2022 which can be found at http://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.html.


(iv) This is a 100% set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 336612 “Boat Building”, which has a size standard of 1,000 Employees. For more information on size standards visit http://www.sba.gov/size.
