The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106-1(b) to obtain service and maintenance for Impella Heart Pump Controller Equipment
Period of performance: September 15, 2024, through September 16, 2025
Basic description of the requirement: This full-service contract is to include all necessary repair or replacement of defective part, preventive maintenance, and maintenance of the equipment. The contractor shall maintain the equipment and furnishing all necessary labor, unlimited technical phone support, tools, materials, repair service parts, shipping charges and all peripherals (including but not limited to travel expenses). The contractor will also provide repair service which may consist of calibration, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, rectify recalls, replacing parts and maintaining the equipment. Repair services will be provided at the request of the VA, to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions. Moreover, the contractor shall review operating system software diagnostics to ensure that system is operating to the manufacturer s specifications. Any service rendered on this technology requires that it be performed by a factory trained and certified technician and also requires the use of specialized test equipment, both of which are available only from Abiomed.
