Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Office of Procurement intends to extend the current sole-source contract, NNK16OM16P, with United Launch Services, LLC.  This action will result in a modification that extends the period of performance from March 5, 2022 to September 30, 2022 for continued liquid hydrogen support required at KSC in support of the Space Launch System (SLS) Artemis 1 launch.  The proposed extension is based upon the exclusion found at Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 and 41 United States Code 3304(a)(1), which authorizes other than full and open competition when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of the intent to extend the period of performance on an existing sole-source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists for this requirement.  A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any costs associated with responses to this notice will be provided.
