Description

This Solicitation is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for project 402-24-001 Close and Infill Underground Vaults at Togus VA Medical Center (VAMC), Maine. This contract requires to perform a full investigation of the underground structure condition. Following investigation contractor will report the feasibility of infilling the underground structure with gravel or fill. If feasible, contractor will provide time, material, and labor to infill the underground structure. Work shall be consistent with the requirements of current buildings codes, industry standards, and VA standards. Contractor is to perform a full investigation of the underground structure conditions and to provide a final report with findings, including, but not limited to, structure dimensions, potential entry points, and structure materials. Report to also include the feasibility of infilling the underground structure with gravel, flowable fill or an alternative type of fill to prevent structure collapse. Once the VA has reviewed and approved the proposed solution and materials from the initial report, the second portion of work includes all construction services to infill the structure. The Contractor shall be responsible for field verifying all conditions and quantities that may affect the project work prior to submitting quotes for project. Participants are encouraged to attend and meet at the Togus VA Medical Center, Building 202, Parking Lot #3, 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330. Building 202 is of Patriot Drive, it can be found if you orient on the Togus Campus Map. A site visit will be held on January XX, 2025 at 11:00PM EST. POC for this action will be Alexandru Sava at alexandru.sava@va.gov and Diane C. Davis at diane.davis2@va.gov. Request for information of a technical nature must be provided in writing and shall be submitted by the prospective offeror only by email to alexandru.sava@va.gov and diane.davis2@va.gov. Email subject line must read: 402-24-001 - Close and Infill Underground Vaults Request for Information (RFI). Questions shall be received by February XX, 2025 at 3:00PM EST. Requests for Quote (RFQs) are due by February XX, 2025 at 3:30PM EST and must be submitted only via email to alexandru.sava@va.gov and diane.davis2@va.gov. All work shall be performed and executed in accordance with provided SOW and contract documents. The period of performance is 60 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
