Description

Department of Energy (DOE), Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region (DSW) issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a qualified Contractor to the provide “Annual cleaning and disposing of bird excrement from a Series Capacitor Bank” at DSW’s Liberty Substation located at 20307 W. Dunlap Road, Buckeye, AZ 85326. In accordance with the Performance Work Statement (Attachment 1). The contract will be for a base performance period of 12 months with four option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Government.

This is a modification to incorporate the following:

1. Extend closing date to Thursday, April 20, 2023 4PM ET from Wednesday, April 12, 2020 4PM ET

2. Q&A

(a) Site visit is possible before submitting the bid. If not, can you confirm the square footage of the building?

     Answer: Site visit is not available please see attached photo and refer to section 2.0 SCOPE of the PWS for explanation of scope of work.

(b) Will power be LOTO in the area where work is being performed?

     Answer: They will be under a clearance.

(c) How many capacitor banks are there?

     Answer: See attached photo.

(d) Are there any onsite dumpsters or similar disposal options that will be provided? 

     Answer: Contractor is responsible for disposal offsite.

(e) What is the timeframe to complete the work when it is scheduled:

   Answer: Refer to section 2.1.3 (Scope) of PWS

(f) Where is the locatin of servics to be performed?

  Answer:  See photo (2)
