6515--Intent to Sole Source: CT Injection Systems (Bayer Stellant Flex OCS)

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 12) Great Lakes Acquisition Center anticipates entering a single source procurement with Medtronic USA, Inc. for its Nerve Monitoring System (NIM Vital). This acquisition is conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b). This product is manufactured by an Other that Small Business and there is no SBA Class Waiver for NAICS 339112. IAW 13 CFR 121.406(c), the performance requirements (limitations on subcontracting) and the nonmanufacturer rule do not apply to small business set-aside acquisitions with an estimated value between the micro-purchase threshold and the simplified acquisition threshold (this requirement may not be set-aside for any socio-economic class of small business). Other entities may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement no later than 2/23/2021 at 12:00 p.m. CST. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all interested entities submitting a response to this notice must do so no later than the period specified for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received because of the notice of intent will normally be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
