Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION)
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking potential sources that can manufacture and/or deliver steel measuring tapes to Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Firms responding shall specify that their equipment meets the specifications provided below and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. The equipment to be delivered must meet the following specifications:
1. Manufactured from carbon steel (etched black)
2. Graduated in feet, tenths, and hundredths of feet
3. Required lengths range from 50 ft. to 500 ft.
4. See attached Specifications HIF-T-04 and HIF-T-08 for additional requirements.
All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested equipment to the point of contact below. Firms responding shall indicate their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted.
The NAICS code is 334513. The size standard is 750 employees.
This is not a request for quotes. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments.
