This is a Invitation for Bid (IFB) will result in award of a firm-fixed price contract. Award will be made using a Lowest Price responsive/responsible evaluation.
Magnitude: (d) Between $250,000 and $500,000.
Location(s): This project area is in the Spring Lake Recreation Area, approximately 4 miles north of Belleville, Arkansas; in Section 27, Township 6 North, Range 23 West, Yell County, Arkansas
Scope of Work (summarized):
This project includes improvements to the Spring Lake Dam Recreation Area Pedestrian Walkway. The project includes replacement of the existing concrete walkway, improves safety features including the handrails, replaces an existing potable waterline, and rehabilitates the existing Dam stone masonry piers.
The original masonry gravity dam structure, located on the southerly end of Spring Lake, was built in 1938.
The existing walkway is sited on top of the dam. The walkway is supported on the dam¿s stone and mortar piers which includes a total of 15 spans.  The walkway was constructed of reinforced, poured in place, concrete panels which sit on concrete edge beams. These edge beams are embedded into the stone piers at the ends. The walkway sides have handrails and chain-link fencing.
