Description

The intent of this contract is to replace the currently inoperable antiquated external air-conditioner condensing unit and update the furnace and air-handler with new state-of-the art, fuel-efficient, environmentally-friendly sustainable components.

The work will consist of removing the existing exterior-located five-ton condensing unit, mounting pad and all associated hardware, refrigerant and condensate lines, transition pieces and electrical subcomponents. The work will also consist of removing the interior-located furnace, air-handler, plenum, existing associated controls and thermostatic/barometric-controlled “economizer” fresh-air intake assembly. The Contractor will supply and install a specified three-phase five-ton cased-coil condensing unit on new mounting pad with all appropriate associated hardware, refrigerant and condensate lines, transition pieces and components in accordance with all State and Federal regulations and applicable building codes. The Contractor will supply and install a specified new 155kBTU natural-gas-fired furnace with all appropriate associated hardware, components, economizer and plenum in accordance with all State and Federal regulations and applicable building codes. The Contractor will furnish copies of any and all manufacturer’s operation and maintenance manuals associated with this equipment.
