Description

The government requires 6 Brake Heat Stack Assemblies, NSN 1630-01-616-6552LE, for B-1 aircraft for use at Hill AFB UT.

A Heat Stack is the friction material that is used to provide the stopping force for the brakes on the B-1 Aircraft. As such these items are wear-items that must be replaced on a regular basis. Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation (Cage Code 0B9R9) is the OEM for this component and owns all the data necessary to produce this component per our requirements.

The government intends to issue a sole source solicitation/contract to Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems Corporation (Cage Code 0B9R9) as they are the sole owner of the data necessary to manufacture these items and will not distribute this data to any other vendors.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

In a reply, respondents shall specify whether the entity is a large business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled, or a veteran-owned small business. Respondents must also specify whether they are a US-owned or foreign-owned firm. Synopsis responses should specifically address ability to provide the items being acquired.
