8th Communications Training (SANS Institute)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Contracting Department, Marine Corps Installations East, Camp Lejeune intends to issue a Sole Source contract to Escal Institute of Advanced Technologies, Inc. (SANS Institute).  This procurement, for 2nd Marine Division, 8th Communications Defensive Cyber Operations-Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) Company, is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The period of performance will take place across multiple training sessions throughout the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

The required Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) training courses are only provided by SANS Institute. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611420 with the size standard of $16 million.

This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement to competition, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
