The 763 ESS is seeking information for potential sources for Electronic Flight Bags (EFB).  With the rapid expansion and proliferation of electronic media products during many daily activities and environments, the U.S. government is seeking to harness these electronic media capabilities in an effort to reduce paper consumption and distribution costs. An EFB is an electronic display system that includes the hardware, software, and connectivity to support flight operations. Electronic Flight Bag devices can display a variety of aeronautical and mission data, interface with multiple mission essential stakeholders, and perform aircraft calculations for aircrew use during mission execution. An EFB shall be able to exceed the utility of paper references during mission preparation, all phases of flight, and post-flight aircrew duties.
