Description

The Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement to Replace Steam Traps in accordance with the Statement of Work with attachments included to be provided upon the posting of the solicitation. Work includes replace 100 traps and all required trap assembly items (VA will supply all isolation valves, strainers, and check valves; all pipe, nipples and fittings will be responsibility of contractor). The contractor shall install all parts needed (traps, nipples, pipe, isolation valves, check valves, strainers, and trap tags) for each trap being replaced. Where traps are being replaced, replace failed or missing components at each trap assembly. Verify complete, compliant, functional assemblies as required by the Statement of Work. The project is to provide all repair services, labor, and demolition to replace steam traps and trap assemblies. Trap assemblies include steam traps, connector blocks, isolation valves, check valves, strainers, pipe, nipples, and fittings. Work includes mechanical and necessary modifications of associated structures and systems to complete project in strict accordance with the attached statement of work. This is a medical environment, and the contractor shall take into consideration demolition noise, environmental dust control, and specialized facility requirements as a medical environment requires. The hospital shall always remain in continuous operation and any utility interruptions shall be planned and executed as required, to minimize staff or patient disruptions. This will be a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C section 8127 (d). NAICS code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, is applicable to this requirement. The small business size standard is $45M. The estimated range of construction is Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15.101 Best value continuum. The solicitation to be posted on or about Monday, 20 November 2023.
