Description

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) anticipates awarding one (1) Cost-Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF) completion form contract for the Statement of Objectives (SOO) Attachment 1, for an anticipated award of one (1) minimum contract. The work to be performed includes the application of DESI modeling and simulation (M&S) tools, including Galaxy and underlying tools, such as (but not limited to) ICEPIC, JREM, AFSIM, CREATE-RF tools, and other applicable tools. The work also includes basic research and development of underlying vacuum tube, material, solid state Radio Frequency (RF) sources, plasma and particle beam technologies, and simulations for improving High Power Electromagnetic system and or component performance. This effort includes work to model an end-to-end Directed Energy (DE) system (input power systems all the way through battle simulations) and its associated platform integration and supports high power electromagnetic studies and designs. ICEPIC, JREM, AFSIM and CREATE-RF tools are government owned software. The selected contract will be granted access to these software as government furnished information as necessary in performance of this contract. System and component designs and integrations and software input files for simulations must be documented and delivered together with the associated documentation and data.

Specifically, this work falls within the Directed Energy Directorate’s High Power Electromagnetic Division, Numerical Simulation  Program (AFRL/RDH), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
