Description

“Pursuant to 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to solicit from a single source with the Bloomberg Government to provide online subscriptions for Congressional and Highway Transportation News and Policy Reporting Services.

FHWA has used Bloomberg Government services for the past five years to ensure FHWA leadership, decision makers and policy makers stay informed of relevant and timely legislative and transportation news critical to FHWA’s mission.

Bloomberg Government also provides invaluable content such as Federal and State bill tracking and summaries, full hearing transcripts and committee markups, regulation tracking, docket comments and information and details on Executive Branch and Agency events.

FHWA has researched and sampled other sources of information exhaustively and determined that Bloomberg Government is a premier source of this information and updates. There are no other subscription services that will meet FHWA needs in this area.

The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort. All questions concerning this matter should be addressed directly to Monique Snow-Manning, Contracting Specialist at monique.snowmanning@dot.gov.
