Description:

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, sole source Purchase Order to IPG PHOTONICS CORPORATION, Oxford, MA to provide the following 3 kW Single Mode Ytterbium Fiber Laser System:

1. 3 kW Single Mode Ytterbium Fiber Laser System

2. Water Treatment Kit, US

3. MICROSCOPE KIT HLC-8/LCA

4. D25, F50 Collimator, AC, HLC-8

5. Installation & Training

6. Delivery (FOB: DEST, NRL, Washington, DC 20375)

The proposed Purchase Order is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed Purchase Order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
