Description

The NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) Facilities Engineering Branch is responsible for providing professional architectural engineering, construction management and related project management required in support of Center facilities activities. The Facilities Engineering Branch provides services that include facility master planning, facility architectural engineering design, facility construction management, energy, and water conservation program management, facility space utilization assessments, real property management, and engineering services to NASA staff, NASA support contractors, and other federal and non-federal resident agencies.

NASA/ARC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire A&E Support Services from AECOM Technical Services Inc. (AECOM) and intends to extend contract number 80ARC017C0008 on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Therefore, an extension to Contract Number 80ARC017C0008 for up to twelve-months is necessary to continue these mission-critical services without interruption. The period of performance will be extended from June 15, 2024, to December 14, 2024, for the base with the option to extend up to June 14, 2025, if all 6, one-month options are exercised, to allow sufficient time for complete competition of requirements as deemed appropriate to meet an agency wide solution.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Andrea Lovell at andrea.c.lovell@nasa.gov not later than Noon Pacific on May 23, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html
