Description

The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for DDJC Tracy 2000KV Backup Generators.

Project Description: Provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to design, supply and install two (2) new 2000 KW generators along with all accessories and site improvements to include concrete foundations, fuel tanks, automatic transfer switches, switchgears, switchgear enclosures, wires, fences, paving, roads etc. New generators shall be connected to the existing 12 KV power distribution circuits #2 and #3. New generators will provide backup power to all the mission critical warehouses connected to circuits #2 and #3.

In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237130 (Power Communication Line and Related Structures Construction). The size standard is $45M.  Product Service Code is Y1NZ (Construction of Other Utilities).

**NOTE** As of December 19, 2022, the size standards associated with NAICS codes have been updated.  Businesses registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) must update their SAM registration in order to have the small business status updated on the new size standards.  Until SAM registration is updated, the SAM profiles will continue to display the small business under the old size standard.  The revised size standards are posted online by the SBA at the following link:

The solicitation will proceed as an 8a set-aside and is estimated to be issued on or about 03April 2023 with proposals due tentatively on 03 May 2023.   The RFP will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as Sam.gov and will establish a firm proposal due date/time.

If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation.
