Description
- THIS JUSTIFICATION IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 6.302 - ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS - REF. 10 U.S.C. § 3204(a)(1).
- The YSI EXO is a multiparameter sonde used for measuring water quality parameters in cadet corrosion research projects and marine science laboratory courses. The sonde must be configured to measure temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, CDOM, Chlorophyll, and turbidity in profiling and unattended modes. Specific Sensors are utilized within the Science Departement and no other sensor will suffice. Xylem is the sole northeast distributor that supplies YSI products and does not distribute through other sources by Xylem.
- USCGA would encourage future competition on these items provided other vendors enter the marketplace with products that are fully compatible with existing systems and meet the required specifications within the Science Department for research purposes.
