R499--Clinical Microbiologist Services

The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, has a requirement for Doctorate Level Clinical Microbiologist Services located at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, or at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL, to support the VA Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12 Microbiology and Molecular Pathology programs. Travel may be required, but not exceed one day per month, to either Hines VAH or Milwaukee VAMC. The Clinical Microbiologist must be a Doctorate-level (PhD) Clinical Microbiologist who is either Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM) and have at least three years experience, within the past five years, working in a laboratory setting. The contract period of performance will be a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. Normal work schedule will be 20 hours per week. Contractor will work with the COR to determine weekly schedule. This schedule may be flexible as long as 20 hours of work is completed each week during normal business hours. This procurement is unrestricted. All vendors who believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to submit a quote. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541690 Other Scientific Technical Consulting Services. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $16.5 million. Offerors are reminded to provide a complete quote as required by FAR 52.212-1 and addendum, as well as completion of the System for Award Management (SAM) registration, including Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items.
