Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full and open competition to award a contract consisting of a base year and up to three option periods to Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) for the production of Fire Control System (FCS) MK 99 equipment sets in support of the DDG 51 Class Shipbuilding Program and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) allied Navies as well as engineering and technical support for production efforts. RMD is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the FCS MK 99 production requirements and related technical support within the required schedule. RMD is the current and only qualified source as the manufacturer, assembler, and test agent for FCS MK 99 capable of meeting the Government's requirements. This contract action will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1).
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all expressions of interest received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed modification based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and for the benefit of potential subcontractors.
