Description
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is located at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in Cameron County located approximately 29 miles from Brownsville, TX. The project includes GRS-IBS bridge installation with some earthwork, paving, and some masonry work for a total length of 0.34 miles.
SCOPE OF THE WORK: The project scope includes installation of government furnished girders for two GRS-IBS bridges. The scope also includes earthwork around existing MSE walls and paving once the bridges are in place. The project includes staining of CMU block MSE walls and replacing the cap stones.
PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: Major project items include the following:
- Roadway excavation – 2500 CUYD
- Waste – 2500 CUYD
- Roadway Aggregate – 2500 TONS
- Asphalt Paving – 1100 TONS
- Installation of furnished prestressed concrete slabs – 16 EACH
- Reset Barrier – 2400 LNFT
- Staining of CMU block – 2100 SQYD
- Cap stone replacement – 2200 LNFT
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: Anticipated advertisement is Summer/Fall 2024 with an award approximately around November 2024.
