Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The VA San Diego Healthcare System located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 has a requirement to fully renovate approximately 8,492 sf of the existing first floor SE area and 432 sf of the fifth floor of Building 1 in order to relocate the existing pharmacy from its current location to a designated area in the southeast quadrant of the first floor, and a remote ICU satellite pharmacy located on the fifth floor. Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings (when available) of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and must be listed in the SBA certification database on the SBA Veterans Small Business Certification Program (VetCert) portal at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $45.0M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about July 10, 2023 via Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
