Statement of Work (SOW)
Project: NMRTC Steris Service Contract
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Annapolis has two Dental Clinics- one located at 200 Sand Hill Rd., Annapolis, MD 21402 and one at 695 Kinkaid Rd., Annapolis, MD 21402. The contract shall provide maintenance and repair services for the Sterilizer and Washer located at the Sand Hill Rd. location- a Steris Amsco Century V-120 Prevac Steam Sterilizer (20 inch Double Door System) SN# 033291006 and a Steris Amsco 2000 Series Washer/Disinfector Model #2532 SN# 362317001, and the Washer at the Kinkaid Rd. location- a Steris Amsco 2000 Series Washer/Disinfector Model #2532 SN# 3600917020.
2.0 Background: The Dental Clinics Central Sterilization rooms are responsible for the proper sterilization of certain dental and medical instruments. The Washers and Sterilizers are indispensable to those processes and need to be in good working order on a day-to-day basis and must also be maintained throughout the year in accordance with Steris guidelines.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Service shall include on-site corrective repairs coverage during normal working hours from 8:00am to 4:00pm (hours negotiable) Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The contractor shall provide 24-hour emergency service (preferred, but negotiable), installation of engineering updates and preventive maintenance services as recommended by the ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTUER (OEM), STERIS CORPORATION, to clean, test and maintain Department of Defense owned equipment and/or systems per OEM operating standards.
Maintenance and repair services shall include all systems, subsystems components and assemblies. The contractor shall be responsible for total maintenance of ENTIRE system. All maintenance provisions and/or services shall apply to hardware, firmware, and software, as appropriate, unless otherwise stated. All replacement and repair parts shall be manufactured by the OEM. Substitute replacement and repair parts ARE NOT acceptable.
4.0 Government Furnished: All three pieces of equipment to be serviced are located in government facilities. The contract will require access at the main gate checkpoint for the Sands Rd. location and access in to the building for the Kinkaid Rd. location. The dental clinic locations are officially closed before 6:30am and after 4:00pm on Monday through Friday, and also Saturday and Sunday. Any access to the equipment during those off times will be achieved with a military official
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule: Maintenance for each piece of equipment must be completed quarterly in accordance with Steris’ recommendation. Performing the recommended preventive maintenance on sterile processing equipment helps to improve equipment performance, minimizing downtime and canceled surgical procedures. By regularly servicing the equipment and making the necessary part replacements, the facility will save time and money in service visits and equipment repairs.

6.0 Travel: The travel expected would consist of the contractor visiting the two Dental Clinics for quarterly maintenance and for emergency services as needed.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Contractor’s key personnel would include an individual versed in Steris equipment, and capable for regular maintenance, as well as emergency services. Individual would also need to be able to purchase parts directly from Steris.
8.0 Security Requirements: Contractor would need access to the US Naval Academy military instillation and the US Naval Health Clinic Annapolis.
