Description
In preparation for the increased Construction Division support during the Fort Randall – Major
Unit Rehab, two of the private offices will be subdivided in the Fort Randall Powerhouse
Administration Area. This will provide an additional private office and cubicle workspace for
Construction Division personnel.
The second-floor office space at Fort Randall Dam is in need of a renovation in order to
accommodate the temporary placement of additional construction division personnel. The
renovation includes the installation of demountable walls in two private offices, as well as the
installation of a demountable wall in the open space between the elevators and the bathrooms. In
order to create workable office space this renovation will also include masonry rework of an
existing wall to add a door opening. One of the office spaces will also require the removal of an
existing door from its frame. Lighting fixtures will be replaced, and lighting controls will be
updated to accommodate the demountable walls. Additional receptacles and communication
drops will be installed to accommodate the increase of workstations. Smoke detectors and
audible notification devices integrated into the fire alarm systems will be installed. New
emergency exit signage will be installed. Existing ductwork will be modified to provide
additional supplies and returns.
In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated price of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
