Description

REPAIR AIRFIELD ASPHALT CRACKS. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; a market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS.  No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone, Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Sources, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a), and Women Owned Businesses. Contractor's status will be verified through SAM and SBA. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond.

The 174th New York Air National Guard may issue a solicitation and award of a firm fixed price contract for “Repair Airfield Asphalt Cracks” at the 174th Attack Wing, Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, Syracuse, New York. Work will include the removal of approxiamtely 600 SY of airfield asphalt pavement, applying approximately 600 SY of prime coat, tack coat, and asphalt pavement to the areas where the asphalt was removed, raising 3 catch basins on the airfield concrete that are greater 2” below the surface level of the PCC, performing localized crack sealing on approximately 1500 LF of the airfield asphalt pavement (cracks range in size from 1/4” to 2” in width and 1/4” to 2” in depth), applying a spray-applied emulsified asphalt surface treatment to approximately 89400 SY of airfield asphalt pavements, and restriping approximately 11000 SF of airfield pavement markings  The estimated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000.

***All work shall be performed by technicians with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on airfield asphalt pavements***

All interested concerns will provide this office, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a quote no later than 2:00PM Eastern on 16 July 2024.

This notification, which shall not exceed five pages, must include a (1) positive statement of intent to quote, (2) a completed and signed Sources Sought Information Request Form (attached), and (3) a listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact are to be included.  Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor.  Also, (4) a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition, it may be advertised as unrestricted.  Information shall be provided via email to: briana.mccaffery@us.af.mil.
