Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract for the Durham VA Health Care System to Barrier Free Lifts, Inc. for the Horcher Lifts with in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 Limiting Sources. This will be a service contract which will include all scheduled preventive maintenance on all Horcher Patient Lifts. Vendor service technicians must have full access to the original manufacturer s software for calibration and repairs, as applicable. No sub-contracting of any portion of this service is authorized. Includes telephone support and staff training. All travel and labor costs are to be covered with this agreement. Maintenance will be performed on 139 patient lifts in service throughout the facility. Asset numbers and serial numbers are subject to change as aging equipment is replaced. Services shall be performed at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 508 Fulton Street, Durham, Virginia 27705. at Durham VAMC. Period of performance will Base and three years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past-experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
