Description
This contract is for the supply and delivery of 14,500 tons of crushed aggregate for the use by the government in road maintenance. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform this project.
Contractor furnished aggregate shall comply with Section 703.05(b) of the Forest Service Specifications, Grading Designation G.
The contractor shall provide a water truck and operator for dust abatement of the haul route. Aggregate shall be delivered to the project in bottom dump trucks only. Contractor shall provide a minimum of 8 trucks for delivery and hauling of material. Aggregate shall be placed in windrows for the full length of the project as directed by the Contracting Officer. Government operated equipment will mix, spread, compact and grade the windrowed aggregate.
Contractor shall be responsible for providing a quality control plan to assure that the materials meet specifications. Material sampling and testing is required as specified the Specific Work Requirements.
