Description

1.  Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico is searching for potential contractors that can provide and install Physical Access Control System. Cannon AFB, NM is seeking information from interested parties that are capable of providing the requirements below. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) database to be awarded a DoD contract. The NAICS for this action is 334290 - Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. Vendor must be able to provide a Physical Access Control System for the 318 SOS from an approved security vendor. 

2.  This announcement is a Sources Sought/ Request for Information (RFI) and is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This announcement does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. There is no solicitation or funding currently available. Additionally, the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources because of this Sources Sought/RFI announcement. The results of this Sources Sought/RFI will be utilized to determine if there are enough vendors capable to provide and install a physical access control system and that can meet the specifications and capabilities necessary for this requirement. In addition, this market research tool can be used to identify potential and eligible firms, of all sizes, prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation. All Small Business Set-aside categories will be considered.

3.  The required results from the installation of this system is four (4) total door access panels with three (3) being exterior doors and one (1) being a door to a secure open storage area (OSA). The unit also requires a workstation to monitor access by the squadron Security shop as well as to code existing cards/create visitor badges for access to distinguished visitors and guests.

 The technical specifications including operating constraints for the requested system are below:

3x exterior door (all double doors) access panels with associated card readers/codes

1x interior door (single door) access panel for entry into secure area (OSA/SCIF)

Ceilings: Drop ceilings except in storage areas

Wiring requirements: in conduit

Network connectivity:

- commercial Wi-Fi network exists within squadron for personal electronic device (PED)/electronic flight bag (EFB) use

- NIPR (unclassified Air Force network)

- SIPR (classified Air Force network)

Access:

- 3x exterior doors utilize Common Access Card (CAC)

- 1x interior door utilize separate badge

All users must have a CAC, badge, visitors badge, or code to enter/exit the building
