This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 is being conducted. This is not a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to make an award as a result of this announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice.

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 336413 Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 number of employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 1560 – Airframe Structural Components. This acquisition is proposed to be a Brand Name acquisition resulting in a firm-fixed price purchase order.

The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to survey prospective vendors capable of providing the following aircraft skin item:

- Manufacture IAW Sikorsky Drawing: 70500-02057, Sheet 3, REV CU.

- If current revision is unavailable, it is acceptable to use REV CJ through CU.

- Material: 7075-T6(QQ-A-250-13), .050 THK.

- Material shall be reduced to final dimensions by chemical milling per SS8776, unclad side.

- ALCLAD side to be on exterior surface.

- Anodize (Type 1) IAW MIL-A-8625(SS8483 Type I).

- EC3917 Primer IAW SS8603.

The Contractor shall provide the aircraft skins (2 Ea.) as described. Delivery is FOB Destination to the Corpus Christi Army Depot, Corpus Christi, Texas 78419.

Interested businesses shall provide the following information:

d. Is this product considered a special order? If yes, is there a quantity minimum to order?

e. What are your payment/discount terms?

f. What is your estimated cost for this requirement? You will not be held to this price. It is only for market research purposes.

g. Where is the product manufactured and is there compliance with the Buy American statute for this item?

h. What is the warranty coverage?

i. Any other general information or suggestions for the Government regarding this requirement.

This notice is designed to locate responsible sources that have an interest and can deliver the required product.
