Synopsis/Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This announcement constitutes the only synopsis and notice of intent that will be publicized for the proposed action to extend the current sole source contract.

In accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions this notice of intent is to procure commercial items via a extension of the current sole source to Iron Bow Technologies for continued support for the Office of Connect Care Equipment and Services by a supplemental modification.  

The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements".

This modification to the existing contract will avoid a gap in service for the Office of Connect Care until the recompete is solicitated and awarded.  It is the Governments’ intent to solicit three distinct and separate contracts to leverage innovation and flexibility to meet mission needs. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor Contract Opportunities (SAM.gov) for all future recompete solicitations.
