Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), FEMA, Federal Insurance Directorate (FID) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Pivot (referred to hereafter as “Pivot” or “NFIP Pivot”) serves as the NFIP’s System of Record for all flood insurance claims and policies and is considered a mixed-financial system. Currently in its Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase, Pivot requires a wide array of IT services including SecDevOps in FEMA’s Enterprise Google Cloud Platform utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, holistic software quality assurance, systems security, data reporting and analytics, program/project management, and various support services.
The Contractor will provide subject matter expertise to FEMA staff as they support the NFIP’s execution of flood insurance business operations via Pivot and related NFIP applications. The Contractor will support activities such as tracking, collecting, disseminating, maintaining, and updating information on the Pivot System and applications. While the work performed by the Contractor is UNCLASSIFIED, it should be noted that a substantial amount of data is Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (SPII) and shall be handled as required by FEMA, DHS, Office of Management and Budget, and applicable federal statutes.
