FXD Qiagen EZ1 Service

This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. The authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Gordon intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed price award to Qiagen IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The justification for the sole source is due to Qiagen being the manufacturer and sole authorized company.  Therefore, no other company can provide and support these products in GA without written authorization, agreement, and / or consent from Qiagen.

Salient Characteristics:

Services necessary to perform the needed service and repair of the instrumentation covered (10 Advanced XL instruments).

QIAgen service program provides technical support and maintenance for instrumentation provided by QIAgen.  The service includes one annual preventative maintenance service and technical support for instrument failures or needed repairs.  The service covers the cost of the materials/parts needed and the service engineer who performs the tasks.

Maintain the instrumentation in-line with the FBI Quality Assurance Standards

Ensure proper functioning of instrumentation used in DNA processing.

Repair broken or damaged equipment quickly and accurately to limit disruption to FXD DNA workflow

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government shall consider all responses received by 11th Feb 2022 at 4:00pm Est. All interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. MICC - Fort Gordon will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
