Description

STATEMENT OF NEED GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, PACU department, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for additional vital machines. The vital sign machines would improve patient flow in the APU/PACU by scanning the patient ID band and uploading into CPRS. BACKGROUND: The James A Haley PACU/APU staff would have a reliable machine to obtain vital sign for the post-operative patient in the Ambulatory Procedure Unit and pre-operative patient in Pre-Admission Testing. . PURPOSE: The equipment supports the minor office procedure suites (there are two) and the vital signs are essential pre-op, intra-op, and post-op for the surgical team. Further, the therapeutic phlebotomy clinic patient needs frequent vital sign during the procedure and post-op to assess for hypotension after the procedure. SCOPE: James A Haley is requesting contractors provide name brand only for this requirement. The Connex Spot Vital Machine Support monitors that meets or exceed the physical, functional and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the need of the government. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must have the physical characteristics to enable the government to perform the capabilities: Color touch screen interface FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must provide the following functional and performance capability to ensure the false reading or results from the equipment during prevention of test: QTY Unit of Issue Item 21 EA Wifi CSM, BP, Covidient SpO2, SureTemp (75CT-B) 21 EA Connex Spot Accessory Power Management Stand (7000-APM) All machines will have the ability to be connected to CPRS Oral/axillary or tympanic thermometry options to meet patient and care setting requirements Wireless EMR connectivity SOFTWARE Contractor must be responsible for the complete software system integration and installation to the current VA system to include all fees, permits, and work required to accomplish the installation. Requirements include: Software Microsoft 5.0 to include Microsoft office professional package 6.1 VISTA Integration software 3.2. TRAINING: Contractor is to provide a one-time training at installation of equipment (if applicable). Government will not require additional training. WARRANTY OF EQUIPMENT: Government requirement for standard manufacturer industry warranty term. Government does not accept extended warranty, which requires advance payment. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: All items to be delivered and or installed within 30 days of purchase order processing and order placement. PLACE OF Delivery: Warehousing Department, James A.
