Description
The objective of this procurement is to purchase license upgrade for the VNM-SEN2 Sentry in NCC, specifically, the upgrade is from lGbps to 2 Gbps of throughput. Also to purchase a conversion license for the repurposing of a VNM-ABR2 Sentry to a VNM-SEN2 Sentry with SOOMbps throughput. Sentry, which is an all-purpose monitoring solution incorporating both quality of experience (QoE) and quality of service (QoS) measurements. Based on the ITU BS.1770 specification, the Sentry detects issues related to audio silence and audio levels. The system identifies tiling artifacts and macroblocking in video content. The variety of inputs with multiple input capability allows NCC to monitor all video and audio services. It also allows NCC to customize Sentry to easily integrate into its overall monitoring scheme. Specifically, it ensures continuous monitoring of multicast video and audio resources. This hardware allows the NCC to execute the Agency's mission critical requirement to monitor and take corrective action in troubleshooting multicast video and audio resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the USAGM (United States Agency for Global Media) broadcast network.
The Telestream VNM-UP SEN 1000-2000/VNM-SUP-MS00 is a License upgrade for VNM-SEN2 Sentry from 1 Gbps to 2Gbps throughput which allows NCC to upgrade NCC VNM-SEN2 Sentry to a newer version .. The Telestream VNM-SEN2 500S/VNMUP-LIC-XFR/VNM-SUP-MS00 is a Conversion License to repurpose the VNM-ABR2 Sentry to a VNM-SEN2 Sentry with 500 Mbps throughput.
