CBOSS BPA No. 89303019AIM000005 12-Month Extension

The purpose of this notice is to communicate the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) intent to execute an extension of the current Chief Information Officer’s Business Operations Support Services (CBOSS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Number 89303019AIM000005. The applicable authority is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(A), “an urgent and compelling need exists, and following the procedures would result in unacceptable delays.”

The Request for Quote (RFQ) for the new BPA was issued on August 1, 2024. The DOE has an urgent and compelling need to ensure continuity for our existing support during the solicitation process and requires additional time to address questions concerning the RFQ, evaluate quotations, and make an award. To ensure continuity of services, the Government intends to extend the terms of BPA Number 89303019AIM000005 via a 12-month extension that will consist of an initial 6-month extension with two 3-month extensions through September 6, 2025.

Until a new competitive award is executed, the incumbent contractor (Accenture Federal Services) will perform all the essential requirements needed to support DOE. The DOE would like to make an award by the end of the calendar year for the new requirements.

This notice is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bids. The Limited Sources Justification (LSJ) will be posted to the government-wide point of entry (GPE) for a minimum of 30-days in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(2).
