                                                 USAFA Intercollegiate and Special Event Support Services

Request For Information (RFI): THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.

The applicable NAICS code is 561210, Facilities Support Services. The Government anticipates an 8(a) acquisition. The proposed contract is contemplated as a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods.

The requirement is to provide personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide Event Support to the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).  The requirement supports the Athletic Department (AD) sports events and other special events held on USAFA that require event support such as Protocol and Institutional Events.  Event Support includes, but is not limited to, football games at Falcon Stadium, events at the Cadet Field House, Cadet Gym, Outdoor Sports, Parades, Special Protocol Events and Graduation along with other events held on the grounds at USAFA as defined in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).  This service requires supervisory oversight and management of patron access to include patron/bag screening, ticket taking, ushering/crowd control, traffic/coning/signage management, parking management, Ring of Denial (R.O.D., an area of the USAFA football stadium that only vehicles with access are allowed due to Anti-Terrorism measures), oversight and access to the Falcon Stadium Press Box, and Falcon Stadium East Club. The SP shall perform Event Support within the standards of this PWS, to include performing outdoors at various times and in various types of inclement weather.  See Appendix A for a current list of intercollegiate sporting events supported as USAFA.

The current PWS is attached for reference only. Comments and/or suggestions on the PWS are encouraged and requested to be included in your capabilities package.

Requested Information:

  1. Provide your capabilities package to include experience in similar sized event support as described in the attached PWS.
  2. Provide past performance Federal Contract numbers as applicable.  Additionally, if your organization has provided event support services of similar magnitude NCAA Division 1 collegiate or professional sports teams, include information regarding those contracts as well.
  3. Comments/recommendations for improving or clarifying the draft PWS.
  4. Any other comments/recommendations the Government should consider?
